My picks from London Fashion Week SS14

Now that’s London Fashion Week behind us, I have had a chance to reflect on what I enjoyed the most. The Spring Summer Collections for 2014 was definitely full on, we could see it all, from crazy to weird,  from romantic and sweet, to bright graphic frameworks of colours. Yes, a lot of contrast to please every fashion soul out there.

What should we expect in Spring/Summer 2014 season?

There is certainly good news for all mini-skirts haters. The new season dictates it’s all about midi! Bright colours and flowy materials are
certainly the way to shine your way through those busy high streets. Dress to
impress I say!

The second pick I really enjoyed was the Burberry collection called “English Rose”. They’ve managed to create an ultra feminine collection that I
absolutely adore! It was full of pastel shades, laces and beads. One can almost feel the romance and sweetness coming out of these models, certainly underlining the flower bloom
during the spring. We could also see a lot of knee length skirts that were actually
more revealing and didn’t leave much to imagination. Another very noticeable
signature of Burberry SS14 was definitely a lot of layering and beads; and I mean beads everywhere, dresses, skirts, coats. Time to learn new things girls!

I’ve picked up my favourites from  the Burberry SS14 collection:

These are the pieces from the  Marios Schwab collection (day4, Topshop Show Space, London)

This collection was very sleek, sophisticated, representing more of an independent woman. Although, we could find some hints of playfulness.

The Marios Schwab collection had some denim detailing, but because I’m not so much of a denim fan, I’ve chosen only those ones that carry signs of femininity, that stress out sleek figures and emphasis a women’s strength. No denim for me I’m afraid!

Both collections are going to be a great inspiration for me when I shop. I’ve picked these collections because they’re the exact opposite of each other. Burberry – more of a cute sweet girl. Marios Schwab is very sophisticated, that’s how I imagine a modern strong woman.

I’m going to have to get saving those pennies in my piggy bank for some pieces for the next Spring Summer season!
