Event: Dine Food And Flowers

Flowers, they mean so many things to different people. They represent love, sadness, calm, peace, passion. they have always been a big feature in our homes and hearts. Flowers are a part of the most important occasions in our lives. They are noticeably present on birthdays, funerals, wedding, graduation, celebrations and they’ve become a fundamental part of our lives. They make life on earth possible.

Food. I believe food has a very similar meaning to flowers. It impacts everything we do every single day and we might not even realise that. We make sure we eat healthily more than ever and we emphasise our meals as we’ve never did before. We go out to celebrate, we invite friends over to meals and parties and we present our meals according to certain themes, seasonality and occasions.

That’s why I’ve been incredibly excited when I received an invite to Dine Food and Flowers event. As in my post about the power of fresh flowers, flowers and plants always represent a big part in my life and if you’ve ever browsed through my recipe section, you can easily tell I eat with my eyes. Eating MUST be an experience in my house and everything has to be dead right. Presentation is as important as the taste.

On the night we got the amazing experience to create our own flower crown under the supervision of lovely ladies from Twisted Willow Floristry. Something that has been my dream for ages (I swear, I was so happy). I decided to go for a winter forest theme, no bright roses, just dark flowers.

Dine believes in everything I’ve mentioned. Dining experience is as much about food and taste as well as it is about presentation, accessories and staff committed to cores.

Everyone in the room, from management to staff, made sure we’ve had a wonderful evening and it was going to be an experience to remember. I was very  impressed with everything – the delicious food, lovely wine, beautiful flowers, stand out decoration and very attentive service we’ve had for the evening. It was perfect.

The room looked gorgeous, and the service was outstanding. All of the guests were so impressed with the restaurant, the staff and the food! Delicious! I only wish I could have eaten more but I didn’t want to seem too greedy, ha!

I’ve actually been to two weddings at The Mansion, one was early spring and the other early autumn. Both times we had wonderful weather, only deepening the experience as The Mansion is surrounded by Roundhay park, that looks enchanting when lit in sun. Nonetheless, the indoor of the venue is very well styled and my friends pictures looked remarkable, so no bride has to be too hung up when it rains outside.

All in all, it was a memorable evening. One I’ll remember many years to come. I honestly cannot say which part I’ve enjoyed more, whether it was all the fun we’ve had making our own flower crown or the amazing food that was so skilfully prepared.

Thank you Dine, thank you lovely ladies from the Twisted Willow Floristry for an amazing evening, memories I’ll cherish and thank you Daniel Thubron 123 Photography for some amazing shots from the night. Please stay awesome!
