Have you noticed days are getting longer and there is light in the morning? I certainly did. With spring just right around the corner, I am now transitioning my wardrobe into a very early spring. Even though proper spring is not here until sometime in March, I’ve decided to get a head start in putting my spring wardrobe together.
And what a better way to start than with the most must-have midi dress. I’ve discovered this one at Zara during my recent trip to The Czech Republic (my home country) and as it happened it was a Sale period. It costed me something less than £10, it was a steal!
A bodycon dress is perfect for making the transition from winter to spring season. This time I kept the whole outfit sassy with my high heels – for an neutral take on the timeless style.
I’m a big fan of this effortless look that takes me from work to play, keeping my style bang on trend. Whilst this outfit is pretty much casual street style, I still want to look sophisticated and stylish. That’s why I think this Zara midi dress is a perfect addition for my spring wardrobe. I can wear it with heels or sneakers and still look fashionable.
This dress was a firm favourite from Zara’s collection as soon I saw it. It’s a real a bold statement with sophisticated vibes whilst maintaining casual look. Its surely one of my favourite street style looks I think. High heels are keeping it classy and my New Look backpack is giving the look casual vibes. I’m also wearing a New Look choker that some of you might even remember from my 90’s inspired post.
I wore this laid-back street style last weekend when I went shopping in Leeds. Or more like window shopping as we’ve bought our house recently and ever since then all my hard earned monies go towards buying DIY tools, paints, tiles or even bricks. I wouldn’t change it for the world though.
To keep our spirits up in this busy time, we started having Sundays brunch dates in Leeds. We get up really early when no one is still around and the whole Leeds is quiet and peaceful. Sometimes we chat, sometimes we even bring our laptops and do some work and / or blogging. It’s perfect end to the week. We also sneak a cheeky photo shoot before hand, this ‘Street style look’ is from last week, another firm bold statement.
I’m trying a little bit harder to relax every day, be mindful and enjoy every minute of my life. Something I have been neglecting a lot in the last 10 years. About a year ago I started to focus more on ME TIME and since then my conception on life has changed. Slowly but surely, as nothing happens over night. I think our Sunday dates have become a big part of it.
It’s fascinating how different we can feel after spending time doing something we actually enjoy, whether it’s reading a book or a newspaper (anyone still does it?) rather than checking our phone, listening to music whilst at night rather than watching TV, and just making time to enjoy your life. Even if that simply means to get out of the house for a walk (I suggest The Yorkshire Sculpture Park), sit at your favourite coffee place or visit your friends.
