Blog At The Beach | Icelolly Event Leeds

Few weeks back I got the pleasure to be invited to the Blog At The Beach with IceLolly and quite rightly I was over the moon. Not only it’s the event of the year that everyone talks about in advance but you also get an incredible opportunity to mingle and socialise with local influencers. And let me tell you one thing, there was plenty of them and I felt proud to be part of this ever so growing community.

Upon our arrival, in true Blog At The Beach style, sangria was flowing. The usual crowd of Leeds and Yorkshire bloggers gathered at Leeds Lambert’s Yard to celebrate the holiday season that surely has arrived. This year’s theme was none other than the ever so famous holiday location – Ibiza.

Throughout the afternoon IceLolly prepared few fun games to sweeten our time and for a chance to win some lovely prices. I didn’t win anything but I had fun competing and that’s what counts.

The whole event was a gentle reminder that life is not just about work but it was also a breath of fresh air into our busy lives. From the moment I walked in I felt excited and inspired by the sheer amount of lovely bloggers and influencers and I felt ever so grateful to belong to such an amazing community.

The Blog At The Beach event with Ice Lolly was sincerely inspiring, something I needed for some time. I felt in love all over again with the creativity, community and support we all find in each other.

We also had three speakers on the day – Jen Lowthrop from SheGetsAround, Rhianna from RhiannaOlivia and Jess from The Travelista – all three prepared some fabulous presentations and kick-ass talks, full of encouragement and great advice.

Rhianna walked us through her path of achieving her Instagram success and how she gained her Insta followers organically. Jen spoke about creativity for busy bloggers and Jessica spoke about monetising our blogs.

The Blog At The Beach was another great event filled with fun, knowledge and a chance to meet the ever so fantastic Yorkshire bloggers. I left feeling inspired not only from a blogging perspective but I was also motivated to search for a holiday for this autumn. I’m on a mission to get out a lot more this year and discover new cities in Europe. I love walking through ancient towns, historic streets and discovering new architecture styles. I’m trying to walk more, explore museums and art galleries, realize new paths, and, you know, enjoy the life to the brim.

I can tell you that a city break is coming up once we get our summer adventure done and over with (currently typing from Croatia!) and I’m already thrilled by planning it. Amsterdam has always been on my to-go list but I hear that Barcelona in autumn can be quite lovely? What would you recommend?

What adventures have you got planned for this year?
