Outfit Post: Life Lately & Cosy Winter Style

Hi to everyone who has joined me today to find out more about my new cosy winter outfit. Autumn has started really well for me, lots of new outfits to share with you, my lovely audience, with only one issue. No time to write content for them! Well, after 3 consecutive weeks of hardcore DIY, painting and wallpapering, I can now say (relieved) that I’m back to my hobby, back to my shopping addiction and back to sharing it all with you. So first comes first.

About a month ago we had a lovely chilled morning (some might say the quiet before the storm) in Leeds, my favourite pass time for when I need to kick back. You know the moment you just want to get lost in a moment and enjoy every minute of your life.

We took few pictures for the blog, walked along the canal and planned our DIY renovating projects for the house as we had 3 bigger-ish project planned for the next trhee weeks. There was just so much we had to discuss, plan and dream about! I know that our house is going to be our little sanctuary on this planet, once we’re finished with it that is, but for now I can see a lot of busy weekends ahead.

Part of this whole project is decluttering and I’m in the process of upgrading my entire wardrobe – I know, painful process. I just no longer feel that my own clothes fit my personal style. It has developed over the years and even quite rapidly over the past few months. I long for unity, minimalism and class. I strive for elegance and sophistication.

Part of this process is to dispose of half of my wardrobe. I’ve been donating to charities, piling clothes  to sell online (hands up if you too have clothes with tags still on!). Car boot sales were my second Sunday morning home during summer. I did prepare myself for a long run but I had not expect it to be so strenuous. It’s time consuming however I cannot wait for the finish result.

As I go along, I slowly but surely look out for a theme that I would like to be re-occurring in my wardrobe and with my style. As you can imagine, change doesn’t happen overnight. I did, however, notice a very minimalistic theme, plenty of black and a lot of shirts, flared trousers and of course, cosy jumpers.

About this outfit:

One of my new additions is this gorgeous white jumper that is perfect for my weekend brunching in the city in style. To compliment its white hues I opted for a blue flared trousers that I also bought from the same place. You can never go wrong with the white and blue combo. Proven by us as this trend actually lasted the test of time.

It doesn’t happen very often that I would shop online, purely because when it arrives it barely fits me. Fortunately, I got lucky with LOTD and the low prices made it even easier to risk it. So much so, I ordered few more pieces after my first order, purely because I was impressed by the fit! Another post coming soon!

The white jumper is my favourite this winter season, it fits me perfectly and while it’s not the warmest one (hello fashionable holes), it’s my go to style as soon as the temperature drops.

Whilst I have my fair share of flared trousers, one fashionista can never have too many, I bought the new season version to add to my collection. If you fancy yourself flared trousers too, why don’t you check out my ‘Modern woman and her business dress code‘ or my ‘Working girl wardrobe essentials‘ where I styled my black flared trousers I got on a sale at Mango. The tiny little thing of a bag is from Primani (Primark) and the boots are from Next, super chuffed with them as they’re comfy for boots with heels.

So there you have it, my life update but I promise that next time, I’ll try to write a more consistent fashion update with a proper theme! I also got a new lense that I’m trying to figure out so fingers crossed the photography will improve too!

Oh I love the trousers, they look amazing on you. So feminine and graceful, like a princess on a civil occasion. Yet I’m not sure about the top; it looks beautiful but the shoulder detail made me think about it’s practicality on cooler days.

I love this look. I love how you could wear it on multiple occasions. I understand your hesitation with buying clothes online. I still love going into stores and trying things on.

I love the look you created in this post. The sweater is lovely. The pants look really nice with that soft material. I wish I could wear something like that, but I am a bit on the chubby side and loose pants would make me look bigger. I will suggest this look to my sister though. She’s my complete opposite when it comes to body size. She’s tall and slim, I’m petite and chubby. We’re both pretty though. 🙂

Ooh I love those trousers! I always worry about wearing anything too baggy on the bottom half as I find they make me look pear shaped but these look so flattering!

Lovely look – I relaly like the cut out Jumper, it looks really cosy but stylish at the same time. I agree about online shopping, they never fit well, and then you have to go through the process of returning – Id much rather shop in store!

Oh that jumper is sooo cute!! I love intricate little sleeve details like that. Definitely ties together perfectly with the trousers. The delicate ribbon belt on those is adorable.

I’ve never thought jumper would fit perfectly with loose pants but after seeing this I change my mind. You rock the look, girl!
